Higher Ground Nepal exists as a catalyst of hope by creating a safe space for individuals at risks (of abuse, exploitation and trafficking) to provide them hope, unleash their potentials, and connect them with opportunities for growth.
Higher Ground Nepal uses an innovative, cross-subsidy model to empower vulnerable individuals through training in their Bakery and Crafts enterprises. These individuals have often been victims of violence, struggling to reintegrate with society and usually remain economically disadvantaged, which amplifies their risk of relapsing into lives of exploitation.
Higher Ground Nepal’s inclusive approach aims to break this vicious cycle of abuse by providing vulnerable individuals with redemptive employment opportunities, acting as a platform not just to lift themselves out of poverty and exclusion, but also to give them a voice at the peace table.
